Senior Legal Counsel (Ref. 1070)

Function/Position objectives
Provide legal and compliance support with a focus on trading including the following subject matters: • Swiss an international market conduct rules • A broad range of commercial contracts • Transaction reporting • Insider trading • Best execution
Responsibilities
  • Create and revise internal and external legal documentation, directives, standard contracts and terms & conditions.
  • Answer to regulatory, governmental or other enquiries.
  • Support projects and the development of new products related to the Bank's trading activities.
  • Analysis and monitoring of legal and regulatory developments.
Profiles
  • Master of Law (or lic. iur.) from a Swiss university and admission to the Swiss bar; additional degree (e.g. LL.M) would be advantageous.   
  • Minimum of 6 years of post-graduate legal experience in an international bank or financial institution focusing on trading and product matters.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory requirements for transaction reporting including MiFIR, EMIR and FINFRAG.
  • Experience in credit matters are appreciated.
  • Excellent command of English and German (verbally an in writing), additional Swiss language(s) would be an asset.
  • Analytical approach to identifying and practical approach to solving issues.
  • Ability to successfully interact with executives as well as staff.
