Function/Position objectives
As Managing Director of the Pension Fund of Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd, you coordinate the occupational pension provision of around 1,100 active members and 300 pensioners. Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd is an international Private Bank with its head office in Basel and other locations in Switzerland in Geneva, Zurich, Lucerne, Berne and Lugano. Due to the high degree of digitalisation of the pension fund, the place of work can be chosen freely, ideally in or near Zurich, Basel or Geneva.
We are looking for a trustworthy person with proven experience in the management of a pension fund with an international Board of Trustees. In this function, you will be responsible for the independent, autonomous, technically correct and timely overall management of the pension fund in compliance with the statutory provisions.
With a private bank as a founding company, we offer employment conditions that are comparable to those in the financial sector. Further details on the conditions will be explained in a personal meeting.
  • Organisation, preparation and follow-up of the meetings of the Board of Trustees and the Investment Committee as well as the training of the Board of Trustees
  • Monitoring of the quarterly meetings of the Board of Statutory Auditors (meeting language English)
  • Responsibility for internal (committees, founder company, other affiliated companies, employee representation ANV, pensioners' organisation, etc.) and external (technical administration, pension insurance expert, investment controller, asset manager, auditors, supervision, etc.) interface management
  • Support of the technical administration in advising active insured persons on demanding and complex issues relating to occupational pension plans
  • Administration of the pension fund office without staff management
  • Above mentioned tasks make up for an FTE of 50%. However, depending on desired and negotiated FTE, additional tasks will be agreed upon
  • MAS Pension Fund Management or equivalent training
  • At least 3 years experience in managing a pension fund with an international board of trustees
  • High investment and finance expertise is an advantage
  • High communication and assertiveness even with demanding exponents
  • Self-determined and structured organizational skills
  • German as mother tongue, excellent English (language of meetings) and good knowledge of French are mandatory
