Specialist Middle Office Asset Management
Function/Position objectives
Bank J. Safra Sarasin's Asset Management division provides actively managed investment solutions for both private and institutional clients. In your role you will be part of a small middle office team supporting asset management, acting as a link between back and front office and ensuring a seamless post trade process.
  • Ensure execution of day-to-day middle office tasks
  • Perform daily reconciliations of portfolios vs. custodian, closely coordinate with operations, IT, trading, portfolio managers, custodians, brokers and fund companies
  • Oversee and actively manage the daily order processes including trade matching, margin reconciliation, position keeping and bookings in the back and front office systems
  • Act as single point of contact for trading order related issues and other queries from PMs and the fund company
  • Technical set up, testing and maintenance of Asset Management accounts in Avaloq in coordination with various departments within the bank
  • Commercial education in the banking field or a Bachelor Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is a must
  • In-depth understanding of operational asset management processes
  • Ability and willingness to assess and improve processes
  • Affinity to IT systems and processes in Asset Management & Trading (Avaloq know how a strong plus)
  • Proactive, service-oriented and open-minded personality
  • Very good command of English and German
